Parliament postpones vote on the budget until the second session in the afternoon

I decided the presidency of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, on Monday, to postpone the hearing of the 36 of the legislative term of the first third legislative year until two o'clock in the afternoon, due to the ongoing negotiations on the budget law, while the meeting will include the completion of a vote on the financial budget for the next year in 2017, and the budget of the parliament and the judiciary High Commissioner for Human rights.

A parliamentary source said in an interview to the (long-Presse), "The Presidency of the Council of Representatives decided to postpone the session of the 36th legislative term first third legislative year, to be held in a single hour of the afternoon, until two o'clock in the afternoon," attributing the reason to the "continuation of the negotiations between the political blocs to resolve the remaining paragraphs of the budget law. "

The source, who asked not to be named, said: "the agenda of the meeting includes the completion of a vote on the paragraphs of the financial budget for the next year in 2017, after deduction of 53 items out of 56, and vote on Parliament's budget and the judiciary and the Supreme Commission for Human Rights."

The Iraqi Council of Representatives failed, Sunday, (4 January 2016), the approval of the financial budget bill for next year in 2017, after the vote on the more than 50 articles in about six hours, while raised the presidency of the parliament session to Monday.
