Iraqis protesting again on corruption and demanding reforms

Twilight News / Hundreds of Iraqis in Baghdad and other provinces on Friday to protest against the rampant corruption in the country and called on the government to conduct reforms.

The protesters gathered in Tahrir Square in central Baghdad, waving Iraqi flags and banners calling on the government to conduct reforms in state institutions and actually improve the service.

The protesters also called for the fight against corruption and to prosecute those involved officials of corruption and bring them to justice.

The protesters arrived at Tahrir Square amid tight security, where authorities proceeded to cut off most of the roads leading to the protest venue.

In Basra, protesters gathered in the area near the Courier Office of the province of Basra, while heavy rains lashed.

Protesters held banners calling for the abolition of the quota system in the distribution of positions and to hold accountable officials accused of corruption.

Dozens of residents of Nasiriyah, Thi-Qar province in Haboubi Square downtown, as gathered, demanding the sacking of heads of units and departments of service due to the sinking of their city water to the recent rains, even though I said it.
