To accelerate the pace of work in energy projects and infrastructure in the country, an agreement was signed between the Trade Bank of Iraq , and General Electric and Standard Chartered , which will lead to facilitate the completion of the first phase of the promotion of electric power resources plan.

Faisal Alheims, general manager of the Trade Bank, said: "We have signed a contract letter of the initial intentions of the Iraqi Trade Bank and GE and Standard Chartered to Tamoaa held for the benefit of the Ministry of Electricity has been signed morning worth $ 200 by assembling a syndicated loan for the first time for the sector of the Iraqi banking."

This was not the agreement is the first between the three parties, it has contributed to the previous agreement between them in securing nearly seven hundred megawatts of power within the promotion of energy resources in Iraq plan.
