The parliamentary finance committee, said that the budget deficit in 2017 is estimated at (21.6) trillion dinars The 21℅ proportion of the total budget, as called for social justice and work to increase the state 's resources and to diversify the sources and provide all means to support the security aspect to eradicate "terrorism" .

The report pointed to the continuation of the budget 's reliance on "oil revenues are the primary source to cover expenses by (86℅) of total revenues , " he said , adding that the budget expects " an increase in oil exports to $ (3,750) thousand barrels per day for the year 2017 with the adoption of the price of 42 dollars per barrel. "

The Committee also called in its report, to "achieve social justice and work to increase the state 's resources and to diversify the sources and provide all means to support the security aspect to eradicate terrorism , " emphasizing the importance of "providing financial support to the displaced and the rehabilitation of infrastructure to the provinces liberated and promote decentralization and the continuation of the process of transfer of powers and customizations from ministries to the provinces. "

The committee called for providing "financial allocations of the health and education sector and private sector support and boost confidence in the creation of a partnership with the public sector," noting that the security and defense sector is still "has for the bulk of public spending, reaching appropriations (22.7) trillion dinars by (23℅) of total expenditures. "
