Informed sources revealed on Friday the names of the MPs who moved the suit against the former governor of Nineveh Ethel Nujaifi, pointing out that the charge assigned to him seriously about the security of the country and punishable by death.

The sources said in an interview with (long-Presse) that "Alloizi Abdul Rahman and Abd al-Rahim al-Shammari and Mazer Hammadi Sultan of Representatives are stirred up a lawsuit against the former governor of Nineveh Ethel Nujaifi for the crime of communicating with a foreign country."

The sources added that "the arrest warrant issued against Najafi involving serious charges that the act attributed to him threatening the security of the country and is facilitating the entry of Turkish troops and enable them to establish military bases inside Iraq."

The sources explained that "Article 164 of the penal issued accordingly arrest warrant states that he shall be punished by death, both sought to a foreign country or the one who are working for their own benefit or communicate with any of them law, and this would damage Iraq status of military, political or economic."

The Federal Judicial Authority announced that, on Thursday, issuing an arrest warrant against the former governor of Nineveh Ethel Nujaifi accused of "collaborating with a foreign country", while confirming that the note was based on a lawsuit filed by three deputies over the past year in 2015.
