Iraq and Greece discuss proposed the formation of the Commonwealth of Nations honored

Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari with his Greek counterpart Nikos Kotzias proposal for the formation of the Commonwealth of Nations honored.

According to a Foreign Ministry statement received by all of Iraq [where] a copy of it on Tuesday that "al-Jaafari met Kotzias, on the sidelines of United Nations General Assembly in New York, the two sides discussed ways of strengthening bilateral relations between Baghdad and Athens, serve the interests of the two friendly peoples, and proposed the formation of Nations prestigious Association which is due to include membership, Iraq, Greece, China, India, Iran, Egypt, Italy, Mexico and Bolivia in order to preserve the authenticity and civilization of these countries.

For his part, he expressed his Greek Foreign Minister desire to visit Iraq, noting that his country is seeking to open a consulate in Erbil to support the relations between the two countries.
