Talabani, Sadr, Barazani stress necessity to draw comprehensive national program to solve the crisis 27/04/2012 18:46:00 Baghdad (NINA) – President Jalal Talabani, Leader of Sadrist Trend, Muqtada Sadr, and President of Kurdistan region, Massoud Barazani, stressed the necessity to draw a comprehensive national program to get out the political crisis.
A Presidential statement issued on Friday, Apr. 27, said that, "Talabani received at noon Friday Sadr and Barazani in Erbil; discussing issues concerning Iraq's affairs and means to overcome obstacles and solving outstanding issues between political blocs within the frames of Iraq's Constitution and previous agreements, especially the Erbil Agreement."
It added that the convened stressed the necessity to draw a comprehensive national program in which the peoples' supreme interests overcome partisan and sectarian interests and to be agreed by all to get Iraq to safety.
Sadr arrived on Thursday in Kurdistan region and met with the region's President, Massoud Barazani.
In a press conference held in Erbil, Sadr issued an 18 points initiative aiming to shake the political crisis, forming a strong government in which all Iraqi components participate in, pointing out, "Minorities are an important part of Iraqis that must participate in building Iraq's, politically, economically and security sides. / End.
