"Sheba" al-Jaafari said Iraq's recognition of the Council of the Houthis

This came during a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Yemeni Foreign Minister Abdul Malik Mikhlafi in New York, on the sidelines of the 71st session of the General Assembly of the United Nations. During the meeting, according to published an agency "SABA" government to discuss bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways of activating the work of the Joint Committee and to emphasize the importance of the resumption of meetings to promote and activate the relations in all fields. Mikhlafi and the minister pointed out that Iraq is an Arab country and an important pivot and we have to recover and to be an active player in the regional and international environment and enhanced relations between the two brotherly countries to wider horizons and to the best benefit of the two peoples. For his part, al-Jaafari stressed Iraq's desire to brotherly relations, and the establishment of peace, security and stability in Yemen, pointing out that the area of ​​understanding between the Iraqi government and large Yemen.
Minister al-Jaafari welcomed the Yemeni government's intention to recruit a new ambassador to Yemen in Baghdad, in advance of the call Mikhlafi Minister to visit Baghdad in the near future to strengthen and develop relations between the two brotherly countries and activating the joint committee.
The Houthi delegation had visited Baghdad a few days ago and met with officials in the government and the Houthis said spokesman Mohammed Abdul Salam then that the Iraqi government has announced its recognition of the political council.
