Emirates reaffirms its support to achieve security and stability in Iraq

Said Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash Tuesday the UAE's keenness to support all efforts that contribute to achieving security and stability in Iraq.

The news agency said the UAE [WAM] in a statement that he "Gargash during a meeting with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq and the head of the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq [UNAMI] Jan Kubis to discuss the latest developments in the Iraqi file.

Gargash stressed during the meeting the need to strengthen the role of Iraqi institutions in this delicate stage, praising the efforts of Kubi in this context.

The minister stressed the keenness of the UAE to support all possible efforts to confront the forces of terrorism and extremism in Iraq, "adding that" a successful approach to defeat Daash gangs "are based on the political framework of the Mosque of each Iraqi people paralleled with the military and security effort."
