TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army troops engaged in heavy clashes with the terrorist groups in the Northern countryside of Aleppo and forced them to retreat from their positions.

The Syrian army soldiers struck the terrorists' defense lines in lairamoun and captured al-Mahalij, Sarhil, Police building and a number of building blocks after hours of non-stop clashes.

The terrorists suffered a heavy death toll and fled the battlefield to evade more casualties. In relevant developments on Sunday, the Syrian Army cut off the terrorists' supply route running along the Castillo road in North of Aleppo.
"The army has regained control over al-Malaah Farms and cut off the terrorists' supply route running along the Castillo road in the North of the city, thus blocking the militants in Aleppo itself," the source said.
The Syrian army has been pushing back Jeish al-Islam and Jeish al-Fatah coalition of 10 terrorist groups in Aleppo's Northern suburbs since early last week.
