Industry calls for government institutions to pay debts amounting to more than 460 billion dinars

Revealed the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, on Sunday, about the size of the debt owed by ministries and government departments to meet processing materials and industrial products different and implementation of many of the contracts and business ventures over the years, and while confirming that those debts exceeded 460 billion dinars, Economists government ministries called on to repay what Bzmtha of debt instead of resorting to collect money from citizens.


He said the media ministry director Abdul Wahid al-Shammari, in a statement received "long", a copy of it, that "the ministry is serious is seeking to obtain debt payments, pointing out that he has been addressing all ministries and government departments officially need to pay and the payment of the amount of money involved Bzmtha with the Ministry of Industry and Minerals,"


stressing that "the ministry issue of lack of financial allocations earmarked for the ministries of the state for the current year takes into account the result of the financial crisis plaguing the country's critical economic situation faced by all government institutions."


He pointed out that "the payment of such amounts will contribute significantly in providing the necessary liquidity to the ministry and its sustainability for the industrial wheel movement and activate the production process."


He said al-Shammari, said that "the amounts distributed as follows: (82) billion and (3) million dinars to the Ministry of oil and 115 billion and 5 million dinars at the Ministry of Electricity and (22) billion and (4) million dinars at the Ministry of Defense and (19) billion and (8) million dinars to the water resources and (17) billion and (8) million dinars at the Ministry of Interior and (15) billion and (2) million, the Ministry of Construction and municipalities. "


He said the "the ministry's debt worth 56 billion dinars owed by the Ministry of Education and more than 9 billion dinars owed by the Ministry of Health and the environment in addition to the billion dinars owed by the Ministry of Commerce and 21 billion dinars owed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, as well as the amount of 6 billion (7) million dinars owed by the Department of transportation and more than 11 billion owed by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology as well as the financial dues of more than 4 billion owed by the Ministry of Agriculture and (4) billion dinars owed by the Ministry of Finance and the more than 5 billion dinars owed by the Municipality of Baghdad and the amount of 302 million dinars owed by the Ministry of Displacement and migration and (117) million dinars only owed by the Ministry of Labour and social Affairs. "


Shammari said that "the Ministry of Industry has other debts owed by a number of provinces, including the province of Basra with more than 14 billion dinars, Muthanna (2) billion and (6) million dinars and Babylon at $ 2 billion dinars, as well as the province of Karbala in the amount of (930) million only dinars, and the province of Dhi Qar, amounting to 519 million dinars only. "


For his part, economist said Uday Abdul Ameer Amer in an interview for the "long", that "the accumulation of large sums on state ministries debts unpaid for years shows the extent of negligence surrounding the administrative and economic work of the state in general."


He added that "the right economic contexts in most developed countries is based on the foundations of the most important and obvious respect for public money and not overrun by the smaller state institution in the state."


Amer said that "the payment of government ministries and agencies for amounts received as a result of Bzmtha goods and services a variety of help in productivity movement in the development of all aspects of the state because of the recycling money and not frozen at a certain institution process."
