The head of the Council of the province of Diwaniyah Jubair Salman al-Jubouri, in an interview with (long-Presse), "The local government has opened today, a new branch of the Rafidain Bank in hand Shinafiyah, southwest of the province, to provide banking services to all the people speaking, and easing momentum that ails bank branches in the city center. "

"
Jubouri said that "the bills of services and current accounts and savings instruments certified will be available in front of the children of hand, in addition to the revitalization of agriculture, industry and trade sectors," calling on the rest of the commercial banks to "open branches in the administrative units to make it easier for citizens fulfill their banking transactions, without the need to the trouble of traveling from one town to the other. "
Jubouri and that "the local government will allocate land for the project free of charge to the beneficiary, and make it easier for the rest of the banks wishing to open branches implementation procedures."
The province of Diwaniya (180 km south of Baghdad), the second poorest Iraqi provinces, according to official statistics issued by the Ministry of Planning, which constitute the poverty rate of about 35%, but it rose to 45% during the past two years.
