Oil Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, was signed in Cairo on Thursday with his Egyptian counterpart a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in crude and gas drilling, filter and pipes and infrastructure and training fields of oil, as oil minister, signed with his counterparts Petroleum and Mineral Resources and the Egyptian Minister Tariq Mullah, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Jordan Dr. Ibrahim Saif Special meeting Minutes extended oil pipeline between Basra and Aqaba, it came during the minister's visit at the head of a delegation from the ministry of Egypt to attend the trilateral meeting of the Ministers of Iraq, Egypt, Jordan oil to complete talks on a carrier oil and gas pipeline.

It is reported that the Minister of Oil signed with the Egyptian and Jordanian counterparts, on November 15th / 2015 in the Jordanian capital Amman, a memorandum of understanding to enhance joint cooperation between Iraq, Egypt and Jordan in the field of oil and gas through a project to extend the oil pipeline from the Iraqi territory to the port of Aqaba in Saudi Jordanian Hashemite.

The project is an important strategic investment projects because it would add a new an export outlet for Iraq contributes to raise the export capacity of the country.

The memorandum of understanding signed in Jordan to extend an oil pipeline 490 kilometers long line from Iraq to the port of Aqaba and into North Africa through Egypt and hoped to direct the project in mid-2016
