Iraq and Iran sign MoU for scientific cooperation in technical areas

Iraq has signed represented by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, a memorandum of understanding for cooperation with Iran in technical areas and joint programs.
According to a ministry statement, received by all of Iraq [where], a copy of the "minister, Hussain al-Shahristani, signed with the Vice President of the Republic of Iran for Science and Technology Sorna Stary, a memorandum of understanding to enhance scientific cooperation in technical areas and joint programs."
The statement quoted al-Shahristani said that "Iraq is seeking to benefit from the experiences of countries that have achieved scientific and technical achievements, especially in the modern sciences such as nanotechnology and stem cells."
He added that "this memorandum will allow open new horizons for cooperation in scientific and technical areas with the possibility of conducting joint research in the disciplines of Nanobayutknulogi between research centers and universities in both countries."
For his part, Iranian Vice President for Science and Technology Sorna Stary, according to the statement, that "many areas of scientific cooperation between the two sides," expressing his country's readiness to "develop and benefit from the experiences made by the Iranian research centers in this area."
