The Ministry of Transport show its desire to activate the road transport with Armenia

According to a statement issued by the ministry of transport, the minister Baqir al-Zubaidi met Armin Prystan Minister of Local Administration and emergency situations of Armenia and in the presence of the Armenian ambassador to Iraq, and technical agent of the Ministry and Director General of Land Transportation, adding that during the meeting, they discussed the development of bilateral relations between the two countries especially in the field of transport.



Zubaidi said during the meeting that he was seeking to increase the number of flights between the two countries in addition to the activation of air transport (Alkargo) and ground to increase trade and tourism exchanges between the two countries.



For his part, expressed Armin desire of the Armenian side to increase trade cooperation between Iraq and Armenia then touched Zubaidi to his visit to Armenia and that the opening of the first air route between the two countries and his meeting the prime minister and ministers of transport and trade in Yerevan, which reflected positively on the development of the relationship between the two countries was made, pointing out that It seeks to develop cooperation in the field of road transport between Armenia and Iraq through the transport of goods where Iraq is a strategic corridor between East and West and the transfer of Armenian goods to the Arab Gulf states.



According to the statement, the face of al-Zubaidi, Director General of Land Transport to visit Armenia and meet with Undersecretary Armenian Transport and discuss the issue of activating the road transport and the preparation of a memorandum of understanding between the two countries.
