He stressed the economic and investment commission in Parliament member Ahmed Salim, on the need for the collection of electricity and water funds and taxation to overcome the financial crisis.
Salim told all of Iraq [where], "The government should be bold decision-making to confront the financial crisis, it must take quick measures for the collection of state funds, including fees and customs and taxes, money and services, water and electricity."
He added that "the collection of state funds in general constitute a proportion of 16% in the budget, but if levied innovative way through the electronic system will be increase of 16% - 32%, according to the expectations of economists."
Salim explained that "this amount of tax collection constitutes a large proportion of the budget, as well as oil resources, which can be out of the crisis."
He reiterated that "the government is taking the first way that the citizen is obliged to pay the levy funds, including electricity, water and other services, and that the state is obliged to provide services in the event of the collection of money the right way and using them to build other services."
The House voted on the budget that the current year, which accounted for current expenditures [operating] in which salaries and other more than 80 trillion dinars, and increase of 76% [of total expenditures 105 trillion dinars] while the capital expenditures of more than 25 trillion dinars, and increase of 23.8%.
The Finance Minister Hoshyar Zebari warned last Monday, the Iraqi government will not be able employees' salaries for the month of April next distribution, if the oil price remains low, pointing to the existence Options Kalaguetrad and raise the price of basic services and the sale of bonds Alsiadeh.
