Obeidi discuss with Chinese companies arming the Iraqi army requirements

Search and Defense Minister Khaled al-Obeidi, on Wednesday, who is currently visiting Beijing within the Iraqi delegation with Chinese companies arming the Iraqi army's requirements. According to a statement of the ministry, "the agency our economy news received" a copy of it, that al-Obeidi "met this morning, in Beijing in the presence of Director General of armament, and equipment in the Ministry of Defense of the Iraqi military attache in Beijing, a number of Chinese armaments companies." He added that "During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cooperation between these companies and the Iraqi Ministry of Defense in accordance with the requirements that will enhance the work of the army and sustain the momentum of the fight against terrorist groups." He noted that the meeting "took the armament requirements for Iraq and the operation of various mechanisms by which to strengthen cooperation and implementation with Chinese companies." An Iraqi delegation headed by Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi included the defense minister and the delegation signed five agreements, including through military cooperation visit.
