A senior source reveals about the arrival of 35 Saudi diplomat to Baghdad are expected to attend the ambassador within 48 hours

A senior source revealed on Tuesday that 35 high-ranking Saudi diplomat arrived in Baghdad, with the expected arrival of the new Saudi ambassador to Iraq during the next 48 hours.

The source said in an interview with the (long-Presse), "The 35 high-ranking Saudi diplomat arrived, today, to Baghdad in preparation for the opening of new Saudi embassy in Iraq, which delayed the opening date twice previously."

The source, who asked not to be named, said "it is expected the arrival of the new Saudi ambassador to Iraq during the next 48 hours."

The Saudi authorities announced, (in the second of June 2015), announced the appointment of Thamer bin Sabhan Sabhan, as the first resident ambassador to Iraq since 1991, after negotiations that lasted for months between the two countries since the formation of the Prime Minister, Haider al-Abadi, the current government, in September 2014 past.
