Iraq follows (95) Convention of economic cooperation with the countries of the world

Department of economic relations at the Ministry of Commerce Monday, pursued bilateral agreements signed between Iraq and the countries of the world to develop economic ties and increase trade volume.

He said Hashim Mohammed Hatem, Director General of the foreign economic relations department in the Ministry of Commerce said: "Iraq has agreements with more than 95 State in the continents of Asia, Europe and America to develop economic and trade cooperation and scientific and cultural as well as protocols for these conventions.

"The Ministry of Commerce has worked to give effect to those conventions and to establish new agreements take into account the new economic situation in Iraq and the possibility of increasing the volume of trade through export and import and maintain the stability of the Iraqi market and diversify the economy."

He noted that "commercial attaches at Iraqi embassies provide detailed reports on economic conditions in the countries in which they operate for Iraq economic policy with those States and indicate the need to develop expertise and skills development, economic and private sector development which we give special attention, consistent with its role in the process of economic construction in the country, pointing to the existence of agreements with many countries of the world for economic cooperation."
