Judiciary restores 36 billion dinars to CBI and more than 2,600 antiquities to Iraq

Shafaq News / The judicial authority in Iraq announced on Tuesday returning 26 billion dinars to the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) that was owed by private banks,
as well as recovering more than 2,600 stolen archaeological pieces that were present in the three countries.
According to a statement issued by the judiciary received by Shafaq News, the head of the Supreme Judicial Council Judge , Medhat al-Mahmoud visited today the headquarters of the resumption of the Federal Rusafa Court on the head of a high judicial delegation that included (the chief prosecutor , head of the Judiciary Inspection Department , the supervisor on the media center of the judiciary and the Director General of the judicial Department and judicial escorts affairs(.
According to the statement, Al -Mahmoud met with judges of the courts of the presidency of the resumption of Rusafa in separate meetings, and listened to the course of the judicial and administrative system in them.
The statement added that Mahmoud recommended quickly to resolve claims and overcome the obstacles due to lack of cooperation of some of the relevant authorities, as he stopped talked about the necessity of solving the problem of similarity of names in arrest orders, particularly the old ones, as solutions were developed for this case.
The statement pointed out that the integrity Court has completed since the beginning of the year (585) cases, and also contributed to the recovery of (36) billion dinars back to the Central Bank of Iraq owed by private banks in addition to the delay benefits, while economic crime court contributed in the recovery of (2500 ) relics from Jordan, 77 pieces of the Netherlands and 78 relics from different countries.
