    (Voice of Iraq) – Baghdad spokesman Khaled shawani, Presidency Tuesday, President Fouad Massoum request for unified national card bill to Parliament, attributed the cause to reconsider a law.

    Shawani said in a press statement issued by the Presidency and the Sumerian news received a copy, that "the President Fouad Massoum request for unified national card bill back to Parliament for reconsideration of article 26 of the law", adding that "this comes in response to a request by a number of members of the House of representatives, and representatives of a number of political blocs and religious components, social and civic personalities".

    Shawani said, "this request is part an infallible President to consolidate the principle of citizenship and protection of minority rights in the Iraqi society, emphasizing the principles of the Constitution and other equality, justice and respect for human rights".

    According to parliamentary sources, said Tuesday that Parliament voted on a resolution to take measures to amend article 26 national card Act.

    He was Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs Abdel Azim Ajman tribe representative revealed, Sunday (November 15, 2015), to prepare a proposal to amend paragraph encountered by minorities in the law of national card, stating that the proposed amendment was sent to religious authorities for approval, including the reference, Mr. Ali al-Sistani.

    Religious minorities reportedly called Wednesday (4 November 2015), the Government and the House of representatives and religious authorities to intervene to repeal article 26 national card Act, threatened to go to court to challenge that rule if not cancelled.

    Representatives of minorities was of the House of representatives declared, (October 31, 2015), attending Parliament sessions in protest of the law of national card, considering that article 2 of the law "unjust" right of non-Muslim religions.

    The House voted, (27 October 2015) national card bill, while I returned mass democratic law that Warka "prejudicial" to the right of the undelivered components, indicating that it contains a minor force non-Muslims to embrace religion "coercion".
