Iyad Allawi's call for the release of former defense minister Sultan Hashim



Our economy / Baghdad - Iyad Allawi called on the President of the National Coalition, on Tuesday, the release of the defense minister in the former regime, Sultan Hashim Ahmed.

Stressing that the recent "hands are not stained with the blood of Iraqis."

Allawi said in a statement: "Our economy got" a copy of it, "we have launched repeated appeals on several occasions for the release of former defense minister Sultan Hashim, the last of which was in a joint meeting of the three presidencies four months ago, and we proceed in that of considerations, all in the foundation for a new era of national consensus leading to the strengthening of national belonging and community unity and lead Iraq to free the conditions of revenge and retribution."

"As the move enhances the role of the armed forces and its efforts to combat terrorism and Daash, and it's humanitarian reasons release of Hashim after long years of imprisonment and this will pour in attracting clan Folding Arabian horses in favor of the victory over Daash", pointing out that "the man had not been contaminated his hands with the blood of Iraqis."

The Iraqi High Criminal Court has issued in June 2007, sentenced to death by Ali Hassan al-Majid and Sultan Hashem and Hussein Rashid al-Tikriti, convicted for the implementation of the Anfal operations launched by the former regime on Halabja in 1988.
