He said Al-uqaili, in an interview for "Baghdad News Sunday", that "manufacturing is one of the leading sources of income configuration in developed countries, due to owning this type of activity and the ability to continue unlimited growth without relying entirely on revenue from sales of crude oil ".

Al-uqaili noted that "manufacturing industries in Iraq the number of projects over the years, mostly as a result of many factors stops, including the country's security situation and lack of infrastructure, and the lack of a plan for the development of the industrial sector, which inherited a heavy legacy of problems and constraints on the economic background of wars and the central State, secretions caused by the weakness of the private sector in economic activities".
And between Al-uqaili, that "these factors sufficient to hit the industrial sector in Iraq and the collapse of infrastructure, in addition to serious challenges left by occupying the economy after 2003, especially the industrial sector, which collided with the dilemmas are hard to get rid of them in conditions of sharecropping, which failed in its role in the adoption of sound economic policy capable of qualifying industrial projects which suffered damage and the lack of development of material base. Reflecting the failure of the leaders of the industrial sector in its development and make it an element of support for the national economy ".

Al-uqaili explained that "the Iraqi Government's role in the development of the manufacturing industry is made vigorous efforts to build supportive strategies policies for these industries, to establish programs in the country to motivate players and deepen joint efforts between the Government and the private sector in order to promote projects and ensure their contribution to increased growth of the industrial sector through higher contribution to GDP".

Meanwhile, Abdul Rahman Al-Mashhadani told the Economist that "manufacturing industries in Iraq suffered much deterioration because of the Government's lack of interest and lack of equipment that deal, which led to delays in Iraq about the States of the region in this vital sector is important in supporting the State budget".

Al-Mashhadani said in an interview for "Baghdad News Sunday", that "the public and private sectors have played a prominent role in the manufacturing industry during the previous period, whether industrial or food industries, the public sector during the previous years the heaviest, most manufacturing industries saw an increase in manpower, although it lost projects because of the circumstances".

Mashhadani noted that "the public sector suffer deterioration despite many attempts to renew machinery and equipment and the introduction of modern technology for modern production during the past 10 years, but these things didn't work, and these plants and factories are manufacturing suffers from recurrent losses, also saw increased numbers of employees from 1500 to 7000 factor factor".

And between Mashhadani that "there is near unanimity that Iraq possessed the famous industries and with a good reputation and consumer acceptability, and was then planning on reaching the contribution of manufacturing to 30% of GDP by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), which is that of its objectives concerning developing countries including Iraq".

Mashhadani said that "data refers to change in the 1980s, contribution ratio to calculate the manufacturing decline EI as a result of the war (Iraq-Iran) and lower crude oil prices to below $ 10 per barrel of oil, the same course continued in the 1990s because of oil exports stopped completely as a result of international sanctions, especially in the period (1991-1995). Meanwhile escalated the relative importance of agriculture, forestry and fishing, since this sector register ratio of 73% of GDP as a result of the support the former regime was doing to those penal sanctions, this rate after application of the oil-for-food programme, so we conclude that the commodity sectors and their contribution to the GDP did not take the natural course of growth, but that contribution is related to conditions that Iraq was experiencing during the period (1973-2003) ".
