Jubouri confirms Parliament's keenness to support the Integrity Commission



Baghdad - INA / The head of the House of Representatives Saleem al-Jubouri, Wednesday, that the Parliament is keen to support the work of the Integrity Commission and its supervisory role to eradicate corruption, while stressing head of the agency Hassan al-Yassiri keenness of the Authority to continue to disclose the files of corruption and "expose" spoilers.

The head of Parliament's office said in a statement "the Iraqi News Agency" received a copy of it, "al-Jubouri, received, today, the President of the Commission on Public Integrity Hassan al-Yassiri," noting that "During the meeting, the review of the Commission's work and development, and its efforts to detect and follow up on corruption and the corrupt according to the principle of independence, without being influenced by political pressure from any party, and coordination with the judicial institutions to apply the law without discrimination."

Office was quoted as saying al-Jubouri, he said that "Parliament is keen to support the work of the Authority and the need to apply the law according to the Constitution passed," stressing "the importance of the role of the regulatory body in the diagnosis of glitches within the state institutions."

For his part, al-Yasiri stressed "the keenness of the Authority to continue to disclose corruption and expose the corrupt files."

He called on House Speaker Saleem al-Jubouri, earlier, the Integrity Commission to hold to account any corrupt regardless of affiliation or his position, stressing that Parliament will be supportive of the body.
