Party senior leader Talabani calls for Baghdad regardless of Kurdistan salaries



BAGHDAD - News Today - Prominent student leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, led by former President Jalal Talabani, on Monday, the federal government regardless like other areas of the Iraqi Kurdistan region of employees' salaries, while calling for the need to support the Peshmerga forces.

Patriotic Union of Kurdistan said in a statement received by the agency news of the day a copy of it, that "the first deputy secretary of the Union Rasool met, today, Iraqi Oil Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi in the city of Sulaymaniyah," noting that "the two sides discussed developments in the political, economic and security situation in Iraq and the region, and the importance of making progress in the relations between the center and the region."

He called the Messenger of the federal government to "exchange Kurdistan region like staff salaries in the rest of Iraq," stressing "we are part of Iraq and the central government employees' salaries delivered to the Kurdistan Regional Government."

He pointed out that the messenger, "the Kurdish Peshmerga forces have achieved great victories against the terrorists and managed to free large areas," noting that "the region need to support and coordination with the federal government to provide the Peshmerga supplies of weapons and ammunition and going forward."

For his part, Abdul-Mahdi expressed his hope that "Relations between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government progress."
