Zebari discuss ways to close the file of compensation imposed on Iraq

Research and Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, with a UN delegation headed by Director of the Executive Council of the Compensation Commission in the United Nations Hanov Schumacher prospects of cooperation between the two sides and ways to close the file of compensation imposed on Iraq as soon as possible. A statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Zebari, the topic of reparations imposed on Iraq under Security Council resolutions, and pointed to Iraq's commitment to the arrangements relating thereto. The statement stressed that Iraq sought for a final settlement of such compensation and end by addressing all outstanding issues with Kuwait. For his part, noted that the Iraqi government has committed to pay approximately four billion dollars in compensation to Kuwait during the last year.
