A reporter for News Agency (et) in Baghdad, said that thousands of citizens and activists flocked to Tahrir Square, the center of the capital to participate in the demonstrations, which begins this afternoon near the Freedom Monument to demand the elimination of corruption in state institutions, pointing out that the demonstrators carried with them Iraqi flags and slogans condemning the bad service.

He added that the security forces imposed strict measures on Tahrir Square and nearby areas in anticipation of any security breach, as has deployed checkpoints to prevent the entry of weapons and sharp tools to place the demonstration.
