Medhat al-Mahmoud alludes to his release: the term of the President of the Federal Court the end of 12 years

The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Medhat al-Mahmoud, Wednesday, specify the duration of 12 years to the end of the membership of the Chairman and members of the Federal Supreme Court, and as he emphasized that the draft Federal Court Act sent to the Council of Ministers in 2014 tarry to consider it, he hoped legislation of the law by the parliament.

Al-Mahmoud said in a speech during repeating Section 36 session of the graduates of the Judicial Institute in ceremony, he said that "the total elimination of Iraq in 1587 became a judge after the judge was 573 in 2003".

He added that "the judge making the right long and arduous task," Thanks in advance for "the efforts of those in charge of the preparation of the judges."

And on the Federal Court Act, Mahmood stressed that "the draft federal law the Supreme Court sent to the Council of Ministers in 2014 tarry considered certain differences."

He said, "The current law provides for the continuation of the Chairman and members of the Federal Supreme Court for life, and we opposed this principle and put a period of time in which membership of the Chairman and members of the Federal Supreme Court and we set out with 12-year ends," noting that "these 12 years will end after months".

Mahmood expressed hope that "legislation is the Federal Supreme Court Act by Parliament."

The decision of the Parliamentary Legal Committee Hassan Turan Bahaa Eddin confirmed, Sunday (16 August 2015), the Federal Court that the legislation of the law will contribute to the reform of the basis of part of the work of the judiciary.
