U.S. Agency for International Development has provided four-year project for the initial development of the health system in Iraq

The deputy head of mission for the U.S. Agency for International Development in Iraq / Alex Daprz / In an exclusive interview by the Agency (news) on Monday, while attending the ceremony launching the project, which Ndmth the Ministry of Health: The U.S. government is working through the Agency for International Development to develop the system initial health in Iraq, stating: that the project did not come from a vacuum, but came to Iraq's need for the urgent development of its health system, adding that USAID will continue to support the health sector in Iraq. The Daprz: that the duration of the project will take 4 years and the project is supported by the U.S. Agency for International Development and cover all Iraq's 18 provinces, explained that about 360 health center initial will be learned from the project, adding that the project is based on three areas, the development of the health system and improve the quality of care as well as community partnership. The health situation is still dire and, in the majority of government hospitals in the provinces in general and the capital Baghdad, in particular, which forced people to go in most cases to private hospitals for medical services required, or to travel abroad for treatment.
