Shafaq News / The Iraqi Prime Minister, Haidar al-Abbadi was surprised during a meeting of the political body of the Shiite National Alliance, headed by Ibrahim al-Jaafari

from the presence of Iran's Qods Force commander Gen. Qassem Soleimani, according to "Al-Sharq al-Awsat” newspaper .

The meeting was headed by Ibrahim al-Jaafari and the participation of each of the dismissed Vice President of the Republic , Nuri al-Maliki, the leader of the Islamic Supreme Council , Ammar al-Hakim, the leader of Badr Organization, Hadi al-Amiri and the representative of the cleric Moqtada al-Sadr.

Soleimani participated in the meeting after the Iranian leadership cost him the task of making sure "not to prosecute the former prime minister , Nuri al-Maliki or open any file against him that could result in the end not to trial a person, but to trial the Shiite form in the government."

The newspaper quoted a "senior source" that, during the meeting, that Soleimani talked about Abadi’s reforms in a way that suggests his dissatisfaction, especially that could constitute a violation to al-Maliki so the latter oppose it strongly, prompting Soleimani to get out of the meeting angry.

This has surprised all the leaders of the National Alliance, who did not seem to think that Abadi would have the nerve to some extent make a personal insult to Soleimani.

This is the first dispute of its kind that appears between Abadi and Soleimani, according to the same newspaper.
