Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Receives Badr Organization’s Delegation Headed by Mr. Hadi al-Amiri, Highlighting Their Fight against Terrorism and Corruption and Making Reforms

Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council, received in his office in Baghdad, on Sunday August 23, 2015 Badr Organization’s delegation headed by its Secretary-General Hajj Hadi al-Amiri and the membership Abdul-Karim al-Ansari and Hassan Rashed. Both sides stressed the common challenges, the priority of jihad and fighting ISIS terrorism until eliminating it. They also called on converging efforts and complementing roles to serve the common good. At the same time, both sides stressed the fight of corruption and making needed reforms. They also highlighted the need to meet the legitimate demands of the Iraqi people as soon as possible, warning of the subduction of suspicious agendas to deviate the positive paths for the demonstrations, while stressing the commitment to the recommendations of the religious authority and granting the right opportunity for reform until taking legal and constitutional course so they become consistent with justice, balanced and consistent. It is worth mentioning that the meeting was attended, on behalf of the Supreme Council, Youth and Sports Minister Abdul Hussein Abtan and Sheikh Humaid Maaleh Saadi, with Dr. Ahmed al-Fatlawi and the governor of Basra, Dr. Majed Nasraoui.
