Prime Minister and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Dr. Haider Al-Abadi chaired a meeting of the National Security Council



On Sunday the Prime Minister and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Dr. Haider Al-Abadi chaired a meeting of the National Security Council.

They discussed ways to facilitate the completion of the unified national ID card project, security sector reforms, easing of procedures within the reforms package that Dr. Al-Abadi is carrying out, and reviewed the implementation of decisions previously taken, in addition to a number of topics on the agenda.

The Council approved the plan for the rapid development of the electronic notification about detainees and instruct the relevant authorities for immediate undertaking of the project.

There was also approval for the issuance and authenticity verification project which speeds up the completion of transactions for citizens and to ease the procedures. There have been three data centers setup belonging to the pilot project for the integration of criminal justice data in the Supreme Judicial Council and the Ministry of the Interior (Forensic Evidence) and (Police Agency Affairs).
