Shafaq News / A senior source revealed that the Prime Minister , Haider al-Abadi has recommended the trustees Authority to choose Jassim al-Moussawi as head of the Iraqi Media Network.
The source told Shafaq News, that Abadi believes that al-Moussawi – a political analyst -independent non-partisan, is best at this time to run the Iraqi Media Network .
The Iraqi Media Network, is one of the independent bodies in the Iraqi state, as the political parties accuse al-Dawa party of dominating the policy and decision of the network.
The Iraqi Media Network Administration is currently managed by Mohammed al-Shabaoot , candidate by former Prime Minister , Nuri al-Maliki since 2011.
The Iraqi Media Network, which was recently passed requires that the head of the network to be Iraqi, a fully qualified and completed 40 years old, hold a university degree at least, has a knowledge and experience of not less than ten years in areas relating to the functions and duties of the work in the network, not sentenced with a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude, enjoys competence , integrity and neutrality required for the work of the network, not engaged in any partisan activity while working and not to be a member of any authority provided for by the constitution or to be a government employee and does not work in the civil media institutions during his tenure, not to be covered by the accountability and justice procedures.
Al-Shaboot’s preside period over the network has faced a lot of criticism and accusations of indirect support for the policies of former Prime Minister , Nuri al-Maliki.
Shaboot’s contract will end in October of the current year, and authorized by law to work in the network of trustees board, but Shafaq News has revealed previously that al-Shaboot will apply to retirement .
