    Maliki Heads a Meeting of the Supreme Council of the Population

    Iraqi Oil Minister Meets With The New Chinese Ambassador To Iraq

    Head of the provincial council in Anbar: There are signs to resolve Fallujah crisis

    Shahristani warns KRG of exporting oil without CG approval

    Baghdad (AIN) –The Deputy Premier for Energy Affairs, Hussein al-Shahristani, warned Kurdistan Regional Government of not exporting oil through the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company.

    Shahristani media office reported in a statement received by AIN ''Shahristani participated in the annual energy conference for middle east and northern Africa held at the capital of Britain, London within (27-28/1/2014).''

    ''The Federal Government demanded the Kurdistani Regional Government to export the oil only through the Iraq oil marketing company since it is the only side authorized to export the Iraqi oil,'' stressing that ''The Federal Government will conduct procedures to protect the Iraqi resources in case KRG exported the oil away from the Iraqi oil marketing company,'' the statement concluded.

    Hakim demands Parliament to grant province their legal rights

    Baghdad (AIN) –The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, called the Federal Government to withdraw the appeal filed against the law no. (21) of 2008 related to the provincial councils of the Iraqi provinces and release the authorities for local governments so they can develop and reconstruct their provinces.

    Saddam's lawyer to defend detained MP Alwani

    Baghdad (AIN) –The lawyer, Badea Arif, who was the attorney of the former Iraqi president, Sadam Hussein, declared that he will be the attorney for the MP, Ahmed al-Alwani, of the Iraqiya Coalition accused with terrorism charges.
