Baghdad (AIN) -MP, Lateef Mustafa, of the Kurdistani Alliance pointed out “The three main blocs achieved the majority in the Provincial Councils elections,” noting that “The partisan interests are behind the delay in forming Local Governments.”

He stated to AIN “The results of the elections were not in the side of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki so he called to change the electoral system.”

“The three main political blocs in the central and southern provinces achieved good results in the PCs elections yet the partisan problems and the disputes over the key posts resulted in delaying forming the Local governments,” he concluded.
