Members of the 138th Fighter Wing are set to leave Wednesday for a two-month deployment to help with the drawdown of forces in Iraq.
The fighter wing, based at the Oklahoma Air National Guard Base in Tulsa, will leave before noon Wednesday on a charter aircraft, according to a release from the group.
About 200 airmen will provide air support and watch over the U.S. drawdown of troops in Iraq as well as provide support to troops in combat.
A group of about 100 airmen is set to return Wednesday from a 120-day tour in Kuwait.
