    MP criticizes Government performance towards the Arab Community in Kirkuk

    Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Yasin al-Ubaidi, of the Iraqiya Slate criticized the performance of the Federal Government towards the Arab Community in Kirkuk province.


    He stated to AIN “The Federal Government does not support Arabs in Kirkuk to eliminate their marginalization in the Provincial Council or other Departments.”


    “The Government knows this well but its procedures are weak in this regard,” he concluded.


    Kirkuk is one of most significant disputed area between Arabs, Kurds and Turkmen.

    BAGHDAD / NINA / Head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafari discussed with Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, last night, the latest developments of the political scene.

    A statement by the Office of the head of the Alliance said: "it was emphasized, during the meeting, the need to continue efforts to meet the legitimate demands of the demonstrators."

    The statement added: "both men also discussed the risks that may be caused by the rally planned demonstrations in Baghdad, and the importance to preserve the unity of Iraq, and activating the role of the Iraqi National Alliance at this stage as the largest bloc.

    Dori describes MPs’ stance towards endorsement of Budget law as “Disappointing”

    Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Etab al-Dori, of the Iraqiya Slate described the MPs’ stance towards the endorsement of the Budget law of 2013 as “Disappointing and clear negligence for the citizens’ ambitions.”

    She stated to AIN “Delaying the endorsement of the Budget law will lead to economic and social huge consequences and will participate in consolidating the current political crisis.”

    “The Parliament Chairmanship was not successful in preparing the agenda of last Monday session,” she added.

    “The disputes among the blocs over some articles within this law are the reason behind the delay of its endorsement,” he continued.

    She called “All sides to assume their national responsibility by endorsing the Budget law to make the citizens happy.”

    Judicial Council affirms the issuance of the law of the Supreme Judicial Council

    Baghdad (news) .. announced judicial authority for the issuance of the law of the Supreme Judicial Council after its publication in the Official Gazette of Iraq.


    According to a statement issued by a judicial authority received Agency (news) copy of it: that the law of the Supreme Judicial Council No. (112) for the year 2012 voted by the House of Representatives earlier been published in the Gazette of Iraq after approval by the Presidency of the Republic.


    The statement said: that under the new law, Mr. President of the Federal Cassation Court nominee Judge Hassan Ibrahim Humairi the presidency of the Supreme Judicial Council, adding that the law implemented from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette on 02/04/2013.


    The Iraqi Council of Representatives in its first session of the second legislative term held in 15/12/2012 had voted on the law of the Supreme Judicial Council. / End / j. N /

    The statement pointed out: that Saad General possesses the engineering expertise and technical expertise in the establishment of oil refineries where implemented a number of projects in this area in (Baghdad Daura), a project (unit isomerization works to improve the quality and specifications of gasoline product), and the second project in Baiji refinery in Salahuddin province, and the third project in the province of Basra (and improve gasoline unit).

    Shafaq News / Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki discussed with the head of the National Alliance, Ibrahim Jaafari the risk of gathering the demonstrations to be held in the capital Baghdad.


    According to a statement issued by Jaafari’s office in which "Shafaq News" received a copy of it yesterday stated that” the latter met al- Maliki yesterday in his office and discussed during the meeting the most important issues on the political arena and emphasized the need to continue efforts; to meet the legitimate demands of the demonstrators."


    The statement added that "the risks that may be caused by the rally of the planned demonstrations in Baghdad , the importance of preserving the unity of Iraq and activating the role of the Iraqi National Alliance at this stage as the largest bloc have been discussed."


    The demonstrators decided last Friday, in the provinces that witness to transfer the demonstrations to Baghdad.


    Close political sources to the organizers of the sit-in in Ramadi city revealed on Monday that a decision had been taken by the organizing committee not to conduct next Friday prayers in Baghdad after political and other religious pressure.

    The Mufti of Iraqi Association of Muslim Scholars called on Monday, demonstrators and protesters in Anbar to postpone going to Baghdad.

    Kurdistan alliance warns of using the budget as pressure card

    Shafaq News / Kurdistan Alliance warned on Tuesday from using the financial budget for the current year as a pressure card against Kurdistan Region , while noting thatthe region did receive more than 11% during the previous years as its approval has been ruled out this week.


    The MP of Kurdistan Alliance, Ashwaq al-Jaff said in a statement received by "Shafaq News" that "the budget law should be passed by the agreement of all components, because the budget does not belong to anyone or a certain political bloc as they think that they own the Iraqi money or have a right to use the Iraqi state budget as a pressure card against political partners in the political process.”


    She pointed out that "Kurds are a part of the Iraqi people as was stipulated in the constitution and the country's imports should be distributed on them equally, not as some political blocs thinks that they are giving a percentage to the region from the budget."


    "The federal budget for 2013 cannot be passed in accordance with the principle of majority as its approval needs the agreement of the political blocs."


    She noted that "some of the blocs are trying to delay passing the budget not Kurdistan Alliance as promoted by some parties."


    A member of Kurdistan alliance, Mahma Khalil said in a press conference held in the parliament building on Monday, attended by "Shafaq News" that "Everyone is expects that Kurdistan Alliance is the one that is delaying the approval of the budget, but this is not true as everyone thinks."
