Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Latif Mustafa, of the Parliamentary Legal Committee stated that the constitution allows limiting terms of the Prime Minister into two terms.

    ○ SO NOW THE CONSTITUTION ALLOWS LIMITING THE NUMBER TERMS OF PRIME MINISTER TO 2 TERMS..??? THIS SOUNDS VERY PROMISING AS LAST I CHECKED IT HAD NOT PASSED YET. I BET MALIKI IS HIGHLY UPSET.

    ○ DOES THIS MEAN THIS HAS FINALLY PASSED BOTH THE HOUSE AND PARLIAMENT? AS WE HAVE SEEN LATELY IN THE NEWS, THEY HAVE BEEN TRYING TO PASS THIS FOR SOME TIME.. HOWEVER, DUE TO LACK OF QUORUM IN THE HOUSE AND POLITICAL POSTURING IN THE PARLIAMENT, IT SEEMS THIS WOULD NEVER BE ACCOMPLISHED.

    ○ LETS LOOK FOR CONFIRMING ARTICLES ON THIS. ♥ RED~

Speaking to All Iraqi News Agency (AIN), he said "The law of limiting the terms of the three presidencies might be objected by the Federal Court especially in its allied decisions to the government's interest."

    ○ MOST OF YOU KNOW HOW I FEEL ABOUT THE “FEDERAL COURT”.. THEY HAVE ALL BASICALLY BEEN APPOINTED BY MALIKI.. THIS IS WHY WE NEED THE JUSTICE AND ACCOUNTABILITY LAW PASSED.. PERHAPS THEY SHOULD HAVE PASSED THAT ONE FIRST?? YA THINK? :?

"The MPs of the State of Law Coalition state that the Federal Court will reject limiting the PM's terms even if it is unconstitutional," he added.

    ○ COALITION OF STATE LAW…. WELL OF COURSE THIS PARTY BLOC WOULD SAY THIS.. THIS IS ONE OF MALIKI’S PARTY BLOCS.. LET’S HOPE THIS GETS DONE!

"The law draft of limiting the terms of the three presidencies was set due to the monopoly of authority and individually talking the decision," he pointed out, assuring that "While writing the constitution, the concentration was for limiting the terms of the president post into two only, but the PM post was left."

    ○ UNDERSTAND THE HISTORY.. WE, A DELEGATION FROM THE UNITED STATES.. WENT TO IRAQ AND HELPED THEM WRITE THEIR CONSTITUTION.. SINCE THERE ARE MORE WORDS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE THAN THERE ARE IN THE ARABIC LANGUAGE. (THANK YOU CHIEF FOR BEING PATIENT WITH ME ♥

    ○ THIS “SMALL” DETAIL MAY HAVE BEEN OVERLOOKED OR THE TRANSLATION WAS NOT CLEAR… IT WOULD SEEM THEY COULD GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL WRITING AND HAVE SOMEONE AVAILABLE FOR INTERPRETING WHAT WAS ORIGINALLY WRITTEN WHEN WE HELPED THEM DRAW IT UP.

    ○ I ALSO HAVE TO ASK WHY WOULD THEY BE CLEAR ON THE NUMBER OF TERM LIMITS FOR THE PRESIDENCY, BUT UNCLEAR ON THE PRIME MINISTER? PERHAPS IT WAS AN OVERSITE.. PERHAPS A TRANSLATION ERROR.. ITS ANYONE’S GUESS… BUT IT SMELLS OF MALARKY TO ME!

    ○ WHO IS ALI HATEM AL-SULEIMAN? LET’S SEE…. Sheik Ali Hatem al-Suleiman, a leader in the Sunni Awakening movement.. AND MALIKI IS A SHIA.. SO THEY ARE NOT FRIENDS!

He said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "Maliki is to blame for the blood that was shed yesterday in Fallujah as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, referring that the government measures to free a number of prisoners from Iraqi jails is not enough to the protesters and it is not the only demand for the sitters , because the protestors became insist on the departure of al-Maliki.

    ○ THE CLOSER IT GETS TO APRIL, I JUST HAVE TO WONDER IF THEY WILL DO ANYTHING ABOUT MALIKI.

    ○ CHATTELS AND I WERE TALKING ABOUT SHABIBI SAYING APPROXIMATELY 6 MONTHS AGO THAT IRAQ WAS RELATIVELY STABLE.. “RELATIVELY STABLE” WOULD BE A GOOD THING FOR US. THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING ALONG KNOW THE TENSIONS HAVE BEEN RISING IN IRAQ FOR A WHILE NOW.. IMHO, WE NEED TO GET BACK TO “RELATIVELY STABLE” FOR THIS TO RV..

THEN ON THE OTHER HAND, THIS ALL MAY BE A DISTRACTION FOR US.. BUT LET’S STICK WITH WHAT IS GIVEN TO US IN THE NEWS..♥ RED~
