    Iraqiya MP: Maliki's remarks are misplaced and unacceptable.

    BAGHDAD / NINA / MP, the Iraqiya coalition, Hamid Kassar al-Zobaie said that "Maliki's comments on demonstrations are misplaced and unacceptable, and it was better for him to say that the demands of the masses if constitutional and legal, immediate I will implement them " he says.

    He said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "Everyone was marveled by Maliki's comments on Iraqiya TV channel that he said he will broke up the demonstrations by force or the alike," stressing that "the protest is democratic process and constitutional, and the language he spoke about the demonstrations disclose that the country is not moving towards democracy. "

    Al-Zobaie said: "The solution of the political crisis is very simple and within the hand of Maliki, however," calling him take sense of responsibility towards all citizens and work as prime minister for all Iraqis.

    IHEC: Political crisis not to affect date of next PCs elections

    Baghdad (AIN) –The Independent High Electoral Commission ruled out affecting the date of the next Provincial Councils elections by the political crisis.

    The head of the Electoral Administration of the IHEC, Muqdad al-Shirifi, stated to AIN "The IHEC has a fixed schedule for the preparations for next PCs elections according to the date appointed by the Government."

    Over repeating the extension for the periods of updating the Voters' Record, he assured "Because of the many holidays, the citizens did not manage to update their personal records but the 7th of January will be the last day for this process."

    Kurdish MP: Al-Maliki put us in a real crisis concerning his huge authorities

    BAGHDAD / NINA / MP, of the Kurdistan Islamic Union Bakir Seddiq said that "Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki got the country into a real crisis by his broad authorities that led to the lack of respect to his political partners."

    He told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that "This issue must be addressed by a real and serious dialogue ether between him and the region or with other partners."

    He added: "The country needs to a new project to repair it, which includes all Iraqis, and all aspects," noting that "people do not want calls for dialogue and reform without serious steps get him out of its current reality to a new better reality."

    About the recent demonstrations and sit-ins, he stressed that "what unites this region with these demonstrations and sit-ins is the unit of vision about the performance of Maliki towards the other partners in the homeland."

    Peshmerga: Essential controversial points emerge during KR & CG meeting

    Baghdad (AIN) -The Peshmerga Ministry of Kurdistan Regional Government revealed about differences in main points in the plan with security delegation of the Iraqi Central Government concerning running the security file in the disputed areas.

    A statement by the Peshmerga quoted its secretary general, Maj. Gen. Jabaar Yawar as saying "The supreme Action Committee held a meeting in Erbil on last Wednesday where it was attended by representative from the Iraqi Central Government and Kurdistan Region as well as representatives from the US Consulate in Erbil and the US embassy in Baghdad."

    "The conferees conferred openly about the memorandum presented by the Kurdish delegation in the previous meeting of Baghdad which included full plan for the mutual work and running the security file in the areas outside KR. The meeting also discussed the memorandum submitted orally by the federal government in Baghdad previous meeting," Yawar added.

    He continued saying "There were similarities and differences in the two memorandums about many points, therefore the meeting decided to hold another meeting so as to reach common view and mutual mechanism in managing the disputed areas outside KR territories."

    "The supreme action committee specified 13th, January, to hold its next meeting in Baghdad," Yawar concluded.

    Earlier, security delegation of the federal government has arrived in Erbil on last Wednesday where it held immediate closed meeting with the Kurdish delegation shortly after its arrival.

    It was scheduled to sign the final agreement between both of the delegations about the security administration in the disputed areas during Wednesday meeting.

    Jihad criticizes decision of holding parliament urgent session next Sunday

    Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Hasan Jihad, of the Kurdistani Alliance criticizes the decision of holding the parliament urgent session on next Sunday.

    He stated to All Iraq News Agency (AIN) "There is no justification for holding the parliament urgent session since the parliament will resume its sessions after some days."

    "Discussing the issue of the demonstrations in the parliament will result in heated debates that will have negative consequences," he added.

    "The Government can implement some of the demonstrators' demands in this period to reduce the tension which could not be reduced through the parliament," he assured.

    "The direct contacts between the Government and the representatives of the demonstrators will settle all the issues," he concluded.

    Anbar, Nineveh and Salah-il-Din provinces witness demonstrations since more than a week in protest of arresting the guards of the Finance Minister, Rafi al-Esawi, and calling to release the detainees in addition to getting the IA forces from the cities.

    Nusaiyf criticizes participation of some MPs in current demonstrations

    Baghdad (AIN) -MP Aliya Nusaiyf of the Iraqiya Hurra coalition criticized the participation of some MPs in the current demonstrations which sweep a number of Iraqi provinces.

    Nusaiyf cited in a statement received by AIN that "The MPs were supposed to deal with the protests nueterally on basis of being MPs through considering the demands and seek to fulfill them instead of making themselves subject to suspicions that they might want to achieve political gains on account of the demonstrators' aspirations."

    It is worth to mention that Anbar, Nineveh, and Salah il-Din provinces witness demonstrations and sit-ins for a week to protest the arrest of the guards of the Finance Minister, Rafa al-Issawi, calling at the same time to release the woman and men prisoners.

    BAGHDAD / NINA / The head of Iraqiya parliamentary bloc, Salmanal- Jumaili said that the whole Iraqiya will hold a meeting meet tomorrow in the home of Saleh al-Mutlaq to discuss the current political situation.

    He told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that the meeting will discuss what will be discussed at the special session of parliament, called by Osama Najafi, the head of the House of Representatives, and to take the necessary measures to the benefit of / Iraqiya / and its masses.

    The House Speaker Osama Nujaifi called for a special session of the House of Representatives on Sunday to discuss the current political crisis.

    Kurdistan government calls the Federal government to hold a serious and fruitful talks with demonstrators.

    Arbil / NINA / the Kurdistan Regional Government called the Federal Government to take serious action and frank dialogue with the demonstrators in the provinces of Anbar and Mosul and Salahuddin to end the current crisis.

    The government spokesman, Sven Dazai said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / today 3, Jan that "the demonstrate is the basis right for all and guaranteed by the Constitution, and there are legitimate demands of the demonstrators on the government should be serious about implementing them ."

    Dazai called the demonstrators "to emphasize the peaceful demonstrations and sit-ins, and the need to get away from using violence to express their demands."

    He explained that "there are legal and judicial demands and there other political demands , so the federal government has to speed up the formation of the committees would be responsible for resolving the outstanding issues, and confirm the true partnership between all components in Iraq."

    He expressed his hope that " the special meeting of the House of Representatives on Sunday will find a solution to this crisis," adding that "the representatives of the province in

    Thousands of citizens continue sinc eighth days demonstration in Alahrar courtyard central Mosul.

    Mosul / NINA /-- Thousand of citizens continue demonstrations for the eighth day in a row, representing different areas of Nineveh province, demanding releasing of detainees and innocent prisoners and stop exclusion and marginalization policy.

    The protesters expressed in statements to media that they would continue to demonstrate until the implementation of their legitimate and just demands of the demonstrators in Anbar, Salahuddin and Nineveh provinces.

    Nineveh provincial council earlier decided during a meeting held on Wednesday, to extend the general strike of government departments in Nineveh until next Monday.

    Kamal al-Saadi: Maliki did not violate the truce with Arbil despite violations by the leaders of the Kurds/GAZETTE!

    The leader of the coalition of state law, Kamal Saadi, Wednesday, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki did not violate the truce with Arbil during his recent comments, called on the Kurds to return to their threats issued last week that "violated the truce."
