    Breaking News----Fallujah starts an open civil disobedience.

    BAGHDAD / Nina / A familiar source in Fallujah, of Anbar province said that the city of Fallujah began an open civil disobedience until the release of Rafie al-Issawi's protection team.

    It is mentioned that a security force arrested, last Thursday, a number of the protection team of the Finance Minister Rafie al-Issawi, which is considered by the Iraqi coalition, as sectarian target.

    for his part, al-Maliki said, in a speech to the Conference of the foundation of Youth Movement: "The security forces are carrying out judicial orders against the wanted, who are exercising their terrorist by government identities and weapons, and this cannot be happened and is a major breach of the right of innocent blood.

    Maliki warned from "playing with the sectarian, stressing that the implementation of court orders against the accused does not mean a targeting to a certain sect.

    BAGHDAD / NINA / Iraqiya coalition announced the suspension of its MPs to attend the meeting of the Council of Representatives today 23, Dec.

    The reporter of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that Iraqiya MPs suspended attending the session of the House of Representatives for the today.

    He added that Iraqiya MPs held, before noon today, a meeting attended by the Iraqi Parliament Speaker Osama al-Nujaifi and the head of the Iraqiya parliamentary bloc Selman al-Jumaili.He explained that the meeting was devoted to explain the arrest process of the protection team of the Finance Minister Rafie al-Issawi after breaking into his office last Thursday.It is said that the meeting of the Council of Representatives of today was lifted to Monday for lack of quorum.

    BAGHDAD / NINA / Kurdistan Alliance confirmed the visit of a delegation from the Ministry of Peshmerga to Baghdad this week to hold talks on mechanisms of joint action in the disputed areas.


    A member of the Security and Defense Committee in the Parliament, MP Hassan Jihad said in a press statement today 23, Dec "the date of the visit of the Peshmerga delegation to Baghdad has not been determined yet," stressing that "it will be this week."


    He added that "the purpose of the delegation's visit is the understanding about the mechanisms of joint work between the Peshmerga forces and the Federal Army in the Kurdish areas outside the region," stressing "the importance of such meetings and the need to be continued to get positive results."


    The President Jalal Talabani had discussed, before his illness, with Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, the current political crisis and the latest developments in the region.

    A presidential statement said "they exchanged views on the situation in Iraq and the region in general, and it was decided that the Prime Minister invites Kurdistan delegation to visit Baghdad to continue the talks."

    The statement added that "They stressed the need to adopt a truce and the frank and transparent dialogue and work in accordance with the Constitution and the consensus as well as the National agreements.

    Mosawi affirms issuing judicial arrest warrants against some of Essawi's guardsmen

    Baghdad (NINA) – The Prime Minister's Media Advisor, Ali al-Mosawi, affirmed that a judicial arrest warrant issued against some of the guardsmen of Finance Minister, Rafi al-Essawi.

    In a statement to the press on Friday, Dec. 21, Mosawi said that police went to carry out the arrest warrants,
    but some mistakes are committed while executing the warrants.

    Mosawi added that the tense situation forced the government to clarify all arrests carried out against wanted persons.

    As for the demonstration protesting the arrests, Mosawi said that most of those who demonstrated do not have information about the issue; they followed their political leaders.

    Ramadi / NINA / Thousands, in the city of Ramadi demonstrated on Sunday 23, Dec demanding the release of members of the Protection team of the Finance Minister Rafie al-Issawi.

    In Fallujah, hundreds of citizens also protested, carrying banners calling on the government to release the female detainees in prisons, and the release of the detainees who have not been convicted, and speed up the just punishment of terrorist elements.


    Last Thursday, a military force arrested a number of the Finance Minister Rafie al-Issawi's protection team. Issawi held Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki the responsibilities for the operation and asked him to apologize.

    Urgent….Iraqi Parliament postpones regular session till Monday

    Baghdad (AIN) -The Iraqi Parliament postponed its regular session till tomorrow Monday.

    Parliamentary source told All Iraq News Agency on Sunday
    "The Speaker of the Parliament, Osama al-Nijaifi, decided to postpone the regular session of Sunday till next Monday for lack of quorum."

    It was scheduled to hold the regular session on this Sunday to read and vote on a number of law drafts, however the issue of Issawi's guards prompted some MPs not to attend the session.

    The Iraqiya Slate has threatened to withdraw its MPs from the regular sessions of the Parliament to protest the arrest of the Minister of Finance's guards .

    SLC MP calls judicial sides to reveal details of Esawi's guards case

    Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Abdul Salam al-Maliki, of the State of Law Coalition considered raising doubts over the integrity of the Iraqi judiciary by some politicians as merely an electoral propaganda.

    Speaking to All Iraqi News Agency (AIN), he called "The Judicial sides to reveal the details of the case of the guards of the Finance Minister, Rafi al-Esawi, to the public."

    "SLC rejects offending the Iraqi judiciary and the national figures to appear as a persecuted people before the media outlets," he added.

    He stressed "Forming parliamentary committees to follow up the investigation process in this case to realize the crimes committed against the Iraqis by the terrorists."


    "We respect the judicial decisions and those who agitate the Iraqis against the national interests must prove their innocence before the courts," he assured.

    He urged "The politicians to be wise and to avoid the limited personal interests that aim at electoral purposes."

    German medical team expresses optimism concerning Talabani's health

    Baghdad (AIN) –The German medical team expressed optimism over the improvement of the health status of the President, Jalal Talabani.

    Dr. Najm al-Din Kareem, member of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan confirmed that all Talabani's body parts are performing their biological duties properly.

    He mentioned to the PUK media website "The German medical team is monitoring Talabani's health in the German hospital since three days."

    "Talabani's health is improving continuously," he concluded.
