    Amnesty International calls on the Iraqi government to impose an immediate moratorium on executions.

    BAGHDAD / NINA / Amnesty International called on the Iraqi government to impose an immediate moratorium on executions as a first step toward abolition it after the Iraqi government has ratified to carry out more.

    A source in the organization told the National Iraqi News agency / NINA / that the report of the organization, which will be issued later counted / 129 / executions cases in Iraq during the current year 2012, the highest rate since 2005, while the number of people who had been issued death sentences against them are hundreds.

    The reports also said that 40 inmates are awaiting death sentences issued against them in Kadhimiya prison in Baghdad.

    German Medical team Confirms the Iraqi medical report on Talabani's health status.

    BAGHDAD / NINA / The International Medical team confirmed what came in the Iraqi medical report on the health status of President Jalal Talabani. The Al-Iraqiya semi-official TV said.

    The German Medical team arrived this morning 19, Dec to oversee the health status of President Jalal Talabani

    A statement of the Information Office of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan PUK quoted Faryad Roandozi as saying:
    "The German medical team has arrived in Baghdad on Wednesday morning 19, Dec to oversee the health status of the President Jalal Talabani," stressing that "the health of Talabani is very good and is continuing to improve."

    On the other hand, the supervisor on Talabani's health, Dr. Najemalddin Kareem said: "The health status of Talabani is good and improving."

    He said: "the competent German medical team arrived in the City of Medicine in Baghdad and briefed on Talabani's health," noting
    "Talabani's health may not require sending him abroad."

    Baghdad / NINA/ A press statement of Abd al-Muhsin al Sadoun , the deputy president of Kurdistan bloc said that "I personally was keen to visit Talabani this morning, and the medical team has briefed me, through Dr. Najimalddin Kareem, that Talabani's health is stable, and the German medical team is assisting the Iraqi medical team to oversee the president's health and take medical procedures to ensure its stability. "


    "friendly countries around the world rushed to offer their readiness to provide anything Talabani's health needs, Talabani might be transferred to Germany, later to complete his treatment, adding that a British medical team is expected to arrive today," He added

    Baghdad (AIN) –An international medical team assured the stability of the medical health of the President, Jalal Talabani.

    An informed source stated to All Iraq News Agency (AIN) "There is a noticeable progress in Talabani's heath condition," noting that" An international medical team checked on Talabani's health condition and assured its stability."

    Earlier, the medical team of the President, Jalal Talabani, stated that Talabani's health condition is getting better and he moved of his hands on Wednesday morning.

    A medical source stated to All Iraq News Agency (AIN) "Talabani's health condition is improved, but he is still in comma and in the intensive care."

    "Talabani's moved one of his hands on Wednesday morning and felt the pain where the medical team assured that it is a good development in his health condition where they discussed to reduce the number of drugs that they give to him," the source concluded.

    New medical statement: Talabani's heath crisis caused by hardening of arteries

    Baghdad (AIN) -The Iraqi Presidency office announced that the health crisis of the President Jalal Talabani was caused by hardening of arteries.

    A statement by the Presidency office cited on Tuesday that "Talabani was admitted to hospital, on last Monday night, where he underwent a series of medical examinations which showed that the urgent health crisis was due to hardening of arteries."

    "The examinations also showed that the other body functions are normal and his condition is stable where he is under intensive care supervised by a specialized Iraqi medical team," the statement added.

    Earlier, Talabani's office has announced exposing him to health crisis on last Monday night.

    Kurdistan's President & PM reassure on Talabani's health condition

    Baghdad (AIN) -The President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, and the Prime Minister of the Region, Najervan Barzani reassured on the health of the Iraqi President, Jalal Talabani.

    A statement by the Presidency office cited that "Barzani made a call phone, on last Tuesday, to reassure on Talabani's health condition where he expressed his warm wishes of urgent recovery."

    "On other hand, Kurdistan's PM also telephoned to ask about Talabani's health state, wishing him urgent recovery, good health and wellness," the statement added.

    It is worth mentioning that Talabani was admitted to hospital due to sudden health crisis, on last Monday, following a hardening of arteries due to exhaustion, according to presidential statement.

    The Iraqi medical team which supervises treating Talabani's health crisis stressed stability of his health condition and declared proximity of the arrival of a British and German medical team to assume the treatment.

    Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Mahmoud Othman, of the Kurdistani Alliance confirmed that that health o the President, Jalal Talabani, is getting better.

    Speaking to All Iraqi News Agency (AIN), he said "The German medical team confirmed that Talabani's health is stable," noting that "Talabani's status is better than yesterday."

    Earlier, an international medical team assured the stability of the medical health of the President, Jalal Talabani.

    Talabani's wife confirms stability of his health condition

    (AIN) -The wife of the Iraqi President, Jalal Talabani, Hiro Ahmed Ibrahim, stressed that Talabani enjoys stable health condition.

    In a press statement, Ibrahim said that "Talabani's health condition is improving due to the divine care and the efforts of the Iraqi medical team."

    She denied intention to "transport him to any European country for treatment."

    "German medical team will arrive in Baghdad during the next few hours to oversee the President's treatment, Ibrahim added denying reports over his entry into comatose."

    Observation and commentary : I think it is interesting that many of the usual questions attendant to a stroke viictim are not being asked or addressed to date, e.g., Is there any paralysis or loss of use ( arms, legs,, speech ) and is that condotion expected to be permanent, Perhaps the foregoing is explainable by cultural or language differences. Or perhaps i have missed domething. I do now recall the mention of "bodily functions" which at the time I took to mean as "systemic", i.e., respiration, etc. Bottom line is, I think, that we wait.

    Kuwaiti Ambassador: Pending issues with Iraq on way of settlement

    Baghdad (AIN) -The Kuwaiti Ambassador to Iraq, Ali al-Mu'min, stressed that the pending issues with Iraq have been settled where they are under execution now.

    Mu'min stated to All Iraq News Agency (AIN) that
    "There are other terms of agreements that will be changed into memorandums of understanding and agreements," noting that "This is one of the goals of the expected visit of the Kuwaiti Prime Minister, Jaaber al-Mubarak, to Iraq."

    The Kuwaiti Ambassador continued saying "All the controversial points between both countries were discussed in order begin a new phase in the Iraqi-Kuwaiti relations that is based on common interests and neighborhood's rights."
