    Iraq cancels $4.2bn Russian arms deal over 'corruption' Iraq is rebuilding its armed forces

    "The main objective of this visit, as well as the improvement of bilateral relations, is to strengthen trade and economic relations between the two sides."


    The statement noted that "the Kurdish delegation includes several senior government officials," adding that "Barzani will meet senior Iranian government officials during the visit."


    The representative of the provincial government in Tehran, Nathim Omar had confirmed to the Kurdistan Interior ministry site, briefed by "Shafaq News” that “the President of Kurdistan government, Najervan Barzani will pay an official visit to Iran that will last for two days.”

    Iraq announces its need for trillion dollars for the reconstruction of infrastructure

    Shafaq News / Chairman of the National Investment announced that Iraq needs a trillion dollars in the next ten years to finance the reconstruction of infrastructure and move its economy.


    Sami al-Araji, said in a statement reported for "Shafaq News", that "to finance the reconstruction of Iraq, we will need to between 600 to 700 billion dollars at least, but this amount could rise to within a thousand billion dollars until 2022."
