    Maliki denies existence of US soldiers in Iraq

    Baghdad (AIN) –The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, denied the existence of any US soldier in Iraq, noting that "The search operations for the suspected airplanes is done by Iraqis only."

    A statement by Maliki's office received by AIN, quoted him as saying in an interview "Iraq follows the policy of open doors in its foreign relations with the world countries and the armament will be basically by the US weapons."

    IHEC approves 8 political parties for participation in upcoming local elections

    Baghdad (AIN) –The Independent High Electoral Commission approved eight political parties for the participation in the next provincial elections.

    In a press statement received by AIN, the head of the Electoral Directorate, Muqdad al-Shirifi stated "The number of the approved political parties is eight, whereas 18 others are still under study."

    "Another 70 political parties visited the IHEC to be acquainted with the terms and conditions of the IHEC for the participation in the upcoming local elections," he added.

    "After specifying the 20th of November as the beginning of the registering the political parties to participate the local elections, many political parties started to register for the next elections," he concluded.

    INA stresses necessity of discussing 2013 budget in parliament

    Baghdad (AIN) –The Iraqi National Alliance stressed the necessity of discussing the General Budget of 2013 in the parliament.

    A statement by the office of the head of INA, Ibrahim al-Jaafary, cited "The political committee of the INA held a meeting on Thursday night headed by Jaafary and in presence of all the constituents of the INA."

    "The participants discussed some crucial law drafts that are postponed in the parliament where they stressed the importance of endorsing them in the next days," the statement added.

    He stated to All Iraq News Agency (AIN) "The White bloc reject such process because it is incorrect where each law draft has its own importance and features."

    "Voting on some law drafts together represents the political, sectarian and racial confessionalism," he added, noting that "It is very hard to do such process due to its affect on the State and its general system."
