Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The Amir of Kuwait Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, signed, on Tuesday, an Amiri decree to agree upon a final financial settlement between Iraq and Kuwait.

A statement by the Foreign Ministry received by IraqiNews.com cited “The Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, phoned the Iraqi Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zibari where he assured that Kuwait agreed to settle the issue of the Kuwaiti Airways and the Kuwaiti Amir signed a decree to approve the financial settlement between the two sides.”
“This decision was published in the Kuwait formal newspaper and the attorney in Britain was informed to stop all the complaints against the Iraqi Airways and the Iraqi funds,” the statement added.


“This decision will permit the Iraqi Airways to purchase air crafts and conduct contract to develop its company,” the statement pointed out.
“Zibari appreciated this decision and its importance to develop the mutual relations between the two sides,” the statement concluded.
It is worth mentioning that Iraq has paid 500 USD Million to Kuwait as a final compensation to the Kuwaiti Airways.
