Met with the representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak yesterday in New York with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
During the meeting, which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid discuss the key issues and developments on the regional and international arenas and exchange views on the situation in Syria and international efforts to find quick solutions stop violence and alleviate human suffering also reviewed the difficulties faced by the international organization and prevent it from to find a solution because of a split in the international and regional situations, in addition to the most important proposals and visions on how to strengthen the role of the United Nations and enhance global credibility.

And His Highness the Prime Minister of the efforts being made by Ban Ki-moon to resolve all international issues, stressing Kuwait's support for all the priorities and programs put in place to achieve his second term as Secretary-General of the United Nations.

He pointed to the seriousness of the Government of Kuwait and their sincere desire to close the outstanding issues all with the Government of the Republic of Iraq sister, including freedom of navigation in the (Khor Abdullah) and Multi cases against Iraqi Airways, revealing his intention to visit the Republic of Iraq soon and the signing of several agreements in order for Iraq to implement all obligations prescribed by the United Nations and emerge from Chapter VII.

For his part, the Office of the Spokesman's press statement after the meeting made it that Ban Ki-moon «reiterated his personal commitment to work on the normalization of relations between Kuwait and Iraq», and also stressed that Iraq must fulfill fully and expeditiously with its obligations relating to Kuwait under Chapter VII of the Charter.

The statement added that the meeting also dealt with the developments in the region, including the situation in Syria and the peace process in the Middle East.

The meeting was attended by Advisor at the Amiri Diwan Mohammad Abou Al Hassan Al and our permanent delegate to the United Nations, Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi and our ambassador to the United States of America Sheikh Salem Al-Abdullah and Director of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr.. Ahmed Nasser.

He said the mandate Tarasov continuously until the end of the year and members of the Security Council will have to discuss what happens after that.

Asked if Iraq goes in the right track to meet its obligations answered Kobler that after exchange «historic» of visits between leaders of the two countries «I am confident that we can maintain the status dynamic to overcome the burden and make progress on the missing and border issues and I am confident that we will be able to manage It Kuwaiti government will be able to manage things the political will and the Iraqi side also.
