New election commission begins its work next week
21/09/2012 19:06Arbil September 21 / September (Rn) Chairman of the Electoral Commission for the previous elections Faraj al-Haidari, said Friday that the new Commission will begin its work officially next Wednesday.
Faraj al-Haidari, a Kurdish news agency (Rn) that "the new Commission will start in the 26 September the current expiry date of the mandate the current commission."
Haidari said that "the new members of the Board of Commissioners will receive their tasks Wednesday formally," noting that "he met last week with members of the new Commission was briefed on the preparations for the elections and the upcoming provincial districts."
The House voted, last Monday, a majority on naming eight members from candidates election commission, with no vote on a candidate ninth to fill the board member Electoral Commission for elections due to the differences between the political blocs and two candidates Aobert Bunnell Aalah for the Christian component of the province of Kirkuk, and Khan Kamal Ali Turkmen candidate component of the province of Baghdad.
