Jalal Talabani Iraqi president on Thursday in a statement calls on the country’s political components to hold a national meeting to ease the ongoing crisis.

Talabani who is now in Germany had successfully undergone a medical operation in his knee and he is expected to come back home soon to hold meetings with the Iraqi leaders.

He believes that there should be an understanding based on a brotherly dialogue so that the political side wouldn’t lose their hope.

“We once again call on an inclusive national meeting to discuss all the side and major issues on the table,” said Talabani in the statement.

“I have been tirelessly attempting to be cautious about the developments in sweet homeland,” he said, “the recent days in which the strong languages in media faded away have made me happy.”

Iraq have been dire since Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki accused Vice President Tariq al-Hashimi of running death squad against the Shiites and escalating the disputes between Kurdistan region and Central government of Baghdad mainly over Peshmerga and oil contracts KRG had struck with the oil majors.
