Kurdistan region resumes oil export

Baghdad (NINA) – Kurdish senior official said that Kurdistan region resumed as from Tuesday, Aug. 7, oil export on the level of 100 thousand barrels a day.

In a statement to the press, the official said that as from 12:00 noon Tuesday oil export resumed at the level of 100000 barrels a day, as a gesture of good will toward the Federal Government; but if the government in Baghdad does not settle the issue of payments then oil export will be stopped.

Last week, Kurdistan region's Minister of Natural Resources, Ashti Hawrami, said that the region's government has decided to oil export ending four months stoppage.

He added that oil export will remain at the level of 100000 barrels a day for one month, and if payment settlement occurred then oil export will be increased up to 200000 barrels a day. / End.
