ERBIL, Aug.7 (AKnews)- Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) will establish a Supreme Negations Council for settling the disputes with Baghdad, it was decided today in the meeting of the political parties in Kurdistan Parliament.

KRG Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani said that the idea for establishing this council occurred while forming the seventh (the current) KRG cabinet and it is not the proposal of any political party.

Barzani described the council "a national project."

With the creation of the council the opposition parties will no longer criticize the KRG for sidelining the opposition front in negotiations with Baghdad, Barzani said.

He added parties also agreed a committee composed of the political bloc leaders and Kurdish MPs in the Iraqi Council of Representatives and Baghdad government as well as KRG representative in Baghdad lay down the details for creating the Supreme Negotiations Council.

The committee will also decide the council will become the appendix of which institution.
