ERBIL, August 6 (AKnews) – The Kurdistan Region's parliament will meet today with political parties, blocs and the opposition to discuss forming high negotiation committee between Erbil and Baghdad.

Media adviser of Kurdistan’s parliament Tareq Jawhar said: “The aim of the meeting is to exchange views and improve a draft law of establishing a private committee under the name of the high negotiation committee with the central government in Baghdad."

Jawhar added that Kurdistan’s parliament received a letter from the region's Council of Ministers suggesting the formation of the committee. Therefore parliament on July 31 decided to hold a meeting with political parties and fractions because of the importance of the subject.

It is expected that the region’s vice president, prime minister and his deputy will participate in the meeting.
